Eesti Arst is a general medical peer-reviewed scientific monthly (11 issues a year) the aim of which is to contribute to the improvement of physicians` qualification and to the widening of their outlook, as well as to communicate evidence based medical information and to cultivate Estonian medical language.
The Journal publishes:
- Results of original research in the field of medical and health sciences
- Reviews on clinical issues and issues related to health organization and healthcare as well as on social, legal and ethical issues and history of medicine
- Educational articles
- Case reports with comments
- Information about the activity of the Estonian Medical Association and other medical organizations and medical establishments, dissertations, congratulations, obituaries, readers` letters and other information relevant to medical professionals.
Eesti Arst as the only medical scientific journal in Estonia is classified under category 1.3 in the Estonian assessment system for scientific information.
The circulation of the Journal is 3,000 and its subscribers are the Estonian Medical Association, the Estonian Association of Family Physicians, students of the Faculty of Medicine and individuals from Estonia and elsewhere.
