Abstract

Abstract. Literary Censorship in Mallorca: the Case of the Novel Marius (1967). The repression suffered by the Mallorcan community from the end of July 1936 had great repercussions in the cultural and publishing world of the island. The censor examined all texts that were published, and deleted any content that was not in accordance with the military regime. One of the most curious episodes was the seizure of the novel Marius (1967), by the Mallorcan writer and journalist Antoni Serra.
