Archaeological investigations on the cemetery of the Lääniste hill fort

Abstract

Archaeological investigations on the Lääniste hill fort in Tartumaa revealed 25 burials in the trench next to the northern rampart: 21 skeletons and 4 coffins. The article provides an ostological analysis of the skeltons, a study of the finds from the cemetery excavations and discusses the contextual information.
