A PHILOSOPHICAL EULOGY FOR ÜLO MATJUS WHO KNEW HOW TO LEAD THE WAY

Margit Sutrop is a Professor of Practical Philosophy and Director of the Centre for Ethics at the University of Tartu; she is also the member of the Parliament of Estonia. She received her PhD from the University of Konstanz with the thesis “Fiction and Imagination. The Anthropological Function of Literature” (which was published as a book by mentis: Paderborn 2000. Prof. Ülo Matjus was her first supervisor who supervised her Diploma Thesis as well as her MA thesis. He was also her first PhD supervisor in Estonia.
