'Collaboration' got its negative meaning only in the special situation of the Vichy-Régime in front of the victorious German Reich. But it could be of some use to look for similar cases in earlier historical periods: the collaboration of many Greeks with the Persian Empire in the fifth century B.C. and with Rome in the second century B.C. Another one could be Caupo, chief of the Livonians, in the period of the occupation of the eastern region of the Baltic Sea by the Germans.Downloads
