High performance leadership in unusually challenging educational circumstances

Artiklis antakse ülevaade uurimistulemustest, mis käsitlevad edukalt toimivate organisatsioonide juhtimist kolmes valdkonnas. Organisatsioonid kaasati valimisse eduka toimivuse alusel, võttes arvesse nende kesiseid tulemusi minevikus, võrdlust teiste sarnaste koolidega ning toimimist piiratud ressursside ja keeruliste tingimuste kontekstis. Artiklis keskendutakse nende nelja kooli juhtimisele, mis vastasid valimi kriteeriumitele. Tulemuste selgitused seostatakse Eesti PISA uuringu heade akadeemiliste tulemustega. Artiklis näidatakse, et nendes neljas koolis, mis saavutasid üle ootuste häid tulemusi, rakendati erinevaid kompetentse. Juhtimine võttis narratiivi või otsingu vormi, kutsudes esile innustava kujutluspildi, mida toetas järjekindel otsustavus. Koolid võtsid suuna muudatustele, mis olid teiste sarnaste koolidega võrreldes uuenduslikumad. Pandi alus koostööle ja ühisele kogukonnale, mida toetasid ka konkureerivad koolid, ning lühiajaline edu muutus pikaajaliseks jätkusuutlikkuseks.
