Abstract

Viimase kahekümne aasta jooksul on huvi varasele keeleõppele suunatud teadusuuringute vastu suurenenud. Oma monograafias esitleb Mila Schwartz varasele keeleõppele suunatud ökoloogilist lahenemisviisi, mis kujundab lapse, tema eakaaslaste ja vanemate ning õpetajate suhtlust. Teos pakub sissevaate mitmekeelsetes kodudes ja mitmekeelses keskkonnas kasvavate väikelaste ellu. Varajase keeleõppe sihtrühmaks on kodus, koolieelses lasteasutuses või kogukonnas paralleelselt või järjestikku kaht või enamat keelt omandavad lapsed alates sünnist kuni 6- või 7-aastaseks saamiseni. Monograafiat võib kasutada õppimiseks, teadustööks ja õpetamiseks. Tänu põhjalikele, ajakohastele empiirilistele andmetele ja valdkonnas olulise mõjuga teabele võib kogumik pakkuda erilist huvi paljudele praktikutele, näiteks koolieelsete lasteasutuste õpetajatele ja logopeedidele.
