Eesti Haridusteaduste Ajakirja erinumbris käsitletakse koolijuhtimise ja ‑korralduse valdkonda, esitatakse uut teavet haridussüsteemi kvaliteedi tagamise kohta ning antakse ülevaade õppeasutuse juhtimise eri tahkudele omasest teoreetilisest käsitlusviisist. Temaatiliselt võib artiklid jagada kaheks. Esimesse rühma kuuluvad artiklid, mis pakuvad laiemat, riigi või lausa Euroopa tasandil analüüse haridusprotsesside juhtimise ja korraldamise (ka hariduspoliitika) kohta. Teise osa moodustavad artiklid, mis käsitlevad juhtimisteemasid õppeasutuse tasandil. Artiklid pakuvad lähtematerjali nii uurijatele kui ka õppeasutuste tegevjuhtidele, et edaspidi veelgi efektiivsemalt õppureid koolitada ning muuta koolikeskkond töötajatele sobilikumaks.
