Abstract

Tänapäeval on tähtis, et ühiskonnaliikmed mõistavad teaduse ja tehnoloogia olulisust. Siinse uuringu eesmärk oli disainida vastavalt klassiõpetajaks õppivate üliõpilaste senistele arusaamadele teaduse olemusest kõigile kohustuslik kursus, mis toetab arusaamise kujunemisest teaduse olemusest ning valmisolekut käsitleda sellega seotud aspekte üldhariduskoolis. Uuringus osalenud 27 klassiõpetaja eriala üliõpilase arusaamu selgitati välja varasemates uuringutes kasutatud küsimustikuga ning vastuste analüüsile tuginedes sisustati kursust teadusmetodoloogiliselt põhjendatud õppetegevustega. Kursuse lõpus koguti osalenutelt tagasisidet kursuse kohta. Andmeanalüüsis kombineeriti kvantitatiivset ja kvalitatiivset lähenemisviisi. Kursuse alguses tehtud küsimustiku tulemused näitasid, et klassiõpetaja eriala üliõpilastel on raske mõista teaduslike teadmiste olemust, kujutlusvõime rolli ja mitmekesiste uurimismeetodite kasutamist teaduses, kuid nad suhtusid toetavalt eelnimetatud aspektide käsitlemisesse üldhariduskoolis. Kursusel osalejad hindasid kõrgelt vaatluse olemuse ja teaduslike uurimismeetodite varieeruvuse mõistmisele suunatud õppetegevusi.
